2. What is Laser Hair Reduction?

Laser hair reduction uses beams of highly concentrated light which are absorbed by pigment in the hair.

The energy loosens the bond between hair root and follicle
Hair sheds from the root
The follicle remains mostly alive and capable of producing new hair
Laser causes delay in regrowth, not permanent removal

3. Important Medical Understanding (Indian Skin – Type IV)

Laser beam cannot distinguish between pigment of skin and pigment of hair. Wherever pigment is present, heat is generated.
This may lead to burns and pigmentation.

Clinical Advice: If your hair are black and dense and your skin is white or fair, laser can help to reduce.

Before You Start Laser – What You Must Know

1. Shaving is Mandatory

Hair must be shaved before every session. If external hair is present, laser energy acts on surface hair and can cause burns.
