SECTION 7 — Duration & Cost Reference Tables
Before You Read These Numbers — A Word of Context
Numbers can feel intimidating. When you are sitting across from a problem you have been managing for years — threading every week, waxing every few days, living with the shadow and the stubble — looking at a table of hours can feel overwhelming.
Please read this page the way it is intended: as a planning tool. Not as a verdict. Not as a commitment. Not as a quotation.
These tables were built from more than 41 years of clinical experience at Valeda Skin & Hair Clinic — from thousands of actual treatment records, real cases, real follicles, real patients. They represent what has actually been observed — not what a theory predicts. They are your starting point. Your individual assessment at Valeda Skin & Hair Clinic will refine them.
As you will see below, the actual expenditure in most cases is substantially lower than a straightforward calculation from these tables would suggest.

The Duration & Cost Transparency Guide
Estimate: 7–8 clearances over a complete programme of approximately 12–18 months, based upon approximately 25,000–30,000 terminal-stage hair follicles in the complete facial beard area.
Important: the figures in the Mild, Moderate and Severe columns represent Estimated Complete Programme Hours — not a single sitting or visit. Please do not read these numbers as what will happen in one session.
Actual requirements may be lower or higher depending upon density, hormonal influences, previous tampering history, growth cycles and individual biological response. (For how these estimates are derived, refer to: Section 3 — Three Independent Ways To Estimate Duration & Cost, and Section 4 — The Valeda Unit (VU) Method)

Facial Area vis-à-vis Estimated Complete Procedure Duration
| Facial Area | Mild (Hrs) | Moderate (Hrs) | Severe (Hrs) | Area (Sq. Cm.) | Average Hair Count | % of Full Crop |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cheek Bone (Male) | 10 | 20 | 30 | 40 | 1,800–2,500 | 8% |

| Total Facial Beard Area | — | — | — | Approx. 300 | 25,000–30,000 | 100% |
Estimated complete programme hours over 7–8 clearances in approximately 12–18 months. Planning references, not quotations.

Why the Neck Surprises Most People
If there is one number in this table that surprises almost every individual who reads it, it is this: the neck contributes 55% of the total beard follicular burden.
Neck (55%) ➜ Side Face (18%) ➜ Under Chin (12%) ➜ Chin (10%) ➜ Upper Lip (5%)
Many individuals who seek complete beard removal or complete facial hair removal arrive having accounted for the chin, the upper lip and the side face — and completely underestimated the neck. This is one of the most important things this table can tell you.

Body Area vis-à-vis Estimated Complete Procedure Duration
These estimates have been developed using the Valeda Unit (VU) Method, Clearance Analysis and more than 41 years of clinical observations. They are broad clinical references — not fixed quotations. The Mild, Moderate and Severe columns again represent Estimated Complete Programme Hours — not a single visit.

An Important Note Before You Calculate
When you look at these tables and begin multiplying hours by ₹6,000 per hour, you will arrive at a very large number. Please do not stop there. That large number is the card-rate calculation. It is not what most patients pay.
At Valeda Skin & Hair Clinic, various offers, packages and privilege benefits are available which can bring the effective rate down very substantially. It has been observed repeatedly that the card rate of ₹6,000 per hour, when combined with available programmes, has come down to as low as ₹2,400 per hour — and in certain conditions even ₹2,000 per hour. This means that in many cases, actual total expenditure may become less than 50% of the card-rate calculation.
Treat all table-based calculations as planning references only. Confirm the prevailing offers, packages and programme benefits directly with the doctors and technical experts at Valeda Skin & Hair Clinic before forming any conclusion about total cost.

Procedure Session Price List
The standard card rate is ₹100 per minute = ₹6,000 per hour, before any promotional programme, package or privilege benefit. This is the reference base. Available programmes can bring it down significantly — please confirm before planning.
| Session Duration | Card Rate (₹) | Promo Package Rate (₹) | Per-Minute Landing Rate (₹) | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Minute (minimum 15-minute session) | 100 | 100 | 100 | N/A |
| 15 Minutes | 1,500 | 1,500 | 100 | N/A |
| 1 Hour | 6,000 | 6,000 | 100 | 1 Month |

| 5 Hours | 30,000 | 27,000 | 90.0 | 2 Months |
| 10 Hours | 60,000 | 49,000 | 81.6 | 3 Months |

| 20 Hours | 1,20,000 | 90,000 | 75.0 | 3 Months |
| 25 Hours | 1,50,000 | 1,10,000 | 73.3 | 3 Months |
| 30 Hours | 1,80,000 | 1,30,000 | 72.2 | 3 Months |
| 50 Hours | 3,00,000 | 2,00,000 | 66.6 | 4 Months |
| 100 Hours | 6,00,000 | 3,50,000 | 58.3 | 4 Months |

What This Table Is Actually Telling You
The further down this table you go — the more hours you purchase — the more the effective rate per hour reduces. A 100-hour programme at promo rates costs ₹3,50,000 rather than the card rate of ₹6,00,000 — a saving of ₹2,50,000. A package of this size covers the complete programme of 12–18 months and is never required to be paid in one go — instalments are available (Section 8).
More importantly, when the 5+10 Introductory Programme and Inoculation Privilege are available, the effective rate drops even further. These arrangements are explained fully in Section 8.

Beyond the Tables — Where to Go Next
For a detailed understanding of how actual expenditure is calculated — including consultation, constitutional medicines, disposables, external applications, procedure charges, payment structures and instalment options — please refer to Section 8 — Scientific Understanding Of Treatment Expenditure.
For 12 fully worked real-life examples across female, male and transgender categories, showing complete programme expenditure, please refer to Section 9 — Practical Examples Of Duration & Cost.

Make Hay While the Sun Shines
If a genuine programme is available when you enquire, confirm it and begin. Waiting has a cost — both financial and emotional. Every month of temporary hair removal is another month of stimulating the follicles you want gone.

Complete programme hours: the Mild, Moderate and Severe columns cover 7–8 clearances over approximately 12–18 months — not one sitting.
The neck: 55% of the facial beard follicle burden — the area most often underestimated.
Card rate: ₹100 per minute (₹6,000 per hour); packages lower the per-minute rate to as little as ₹58.3.
Actual expenditure: with available programmes, effective rates have come down to ₹2,400 and even ₹2,000 per hour — often under 50% of the card-rate calculation.
